Carte Blanche à Adrian Younge
Cet homme sait toujours très bien s’entourer. Fan du hip-hop 90’s, il a produit des disques pour ou avec Souls of Mischief, Ghostface Killah (Wu-Tang Clan) et Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest). Fan de la soul 70’s, il a imaginé des disques délicieusement vintage comme Something About April ou The Midnight Hour. Fan de spiritual jazz et de groove, il a imaginé le label Jazz is Dead comme une sorte d’aréopage de ses idoles: Marcos Valle, Doug Carn, Roy Ayers ou Azymuth. C’est simple, on a sans doute 96,8% de goûts en commun. Alors à l’occasion de la sortie de son nouvel album fascinant et militant The American Negro, on s’est dit qu’Adrian Younge était clairement le candidat idéal pour une Carte Blanche du Grigri.
